Precision Therapy Saunas has been providing great far infrared (FIR) sauna products and service for thousands of customers for over 7 years.
Far Infrared saunas are becoming more widely used than the more common known steam saunas, due to their added health benefits. The medical field is beginning to use FIR more and more to assist in various ailments from inflammation to high blood pressure.
Why Far Infrared (FIR)? The FIR sauna technology was developed over 40 years ago. The energy waves emitted are absorbed by the body which raises the core body temperature. Using a FIR sauna is similar to the feeling of the sun warming the body, but do not contain damaging ultraviolet rays. When the body is exposed to FIR waves, it responds with elevated body temperature, blood pressure, metabolic rate, and perspiration. With this reaction, also known as thermoregulation, weight loss happens in 2 different ways. The first way is through the body perspiring and causing an increase in calorie use. The second way is from losing water weight through perspiration as well.
A FIR sauna increases body temperature more efficiently than a traditional steam sauna, therefore, the type of heat felt is able to be tolerated for longer periods of time.

Far Infrared Benefits
Far infrared is a radiant source of heat. This means it warms our body directly rather than having to warm the air first, much like the sun warming our body on a cold winters day. This is a major difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna. There is no need for very hot air that can cause respiratory problems and dizziness. Infrared only expends 20% of its energy on heating the air, 80% directly warms the body to a depth of 4.5cm or 1.5 inches. This deep penetration of warming radiant heat produces up to 3 times more sweat and stimulates the deeper tissues and organs to release stored fat and toxins. The beneficial resonant absorption and the low temperature allow for easier removal of toxins and fat within the sweat, leaving the user feeling super cleansed and energized. Ceramic Heaters -vs- Carbon Heaters
Both heaters will provide the same health benefits and will do the same job. However, the heat distribution differs between the two heaters. If you are interested in using the sauna for a quick intense sweat, ceramic would be the best choice. Carbon is favored as the heat is more comfortable and makes it easier to relax in the sauna longer and will still provide an intense sweat. Carbon heaters are also more commonly used for those with a condition or disease in which the infrared can improve health and well-being.

Precision Therapy Saunas -vs- The Competition
There are alot of saunas on the market that claim to be more than they actually are. Many are over priced and make wild claims about their heaters being superior. The fact is that all the heaters are basically the same with all sauna manufacturers. The reason you see the same basic type saunas for thousands of dollars more than the ones listed on this website is simple; the company does not buy direct from the factory. Sometimes there are 2 or 3 companies in the middle marking up the product to such as higher price. We cut all of that away to bring you the best bottom dollar price.
